Daniel M. Keyes, Jr. was born in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1918. He graduated from Boston College (B.A. 1939) and Boston University (LL.B. 1942), and was admitted to the practice of law in Massachusetts in 1942. Judge Keyes was a past member of the Hampden County, Massachusetts and American Bar Associations, and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He also served as the Acting Register of Deeds for Hampden County, and for fourteen years, was the Presiding Judge of the District Court of Chicopee, Massachusetts. Judge Keyes also served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Holyoke Community College, and was appointed to serve on the President's Commission for the Nomination of Judges to the Federal First Circuit Court of Appeals.
Edward L. Donnellan was born in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1917. He graduated from Northeastern University (LL.B. 1941 ), and was admitted to the practice of law in Massachusetts in 1941. Attorney Donnellan was a member of the Hampden County and American Bar Associations, the American College of Trial Lawyers, and the Environmental Law Committee. He also served as the Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Springfield, Massachusetts. During his lifetime, Attorney Donnellan was recognized as one of the premier lawyers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and was one of a select group of attorneys in Hampden County to be certified in both civil and criminal advocacy. Attorney Donnellan's practice was focused on the trial of product liability cases, personal injury suits, and medical and legal malpractice cases, where his expertise was acknowledged throughout Massachusetts. Attorney Donnellan was also a teaching team member of the Harvard University Law School Annual Trial Advocacy Workshop.
